The Clipster folding lock is very well designed. As you fold it up the sectional lock links click into place and a silicon band secures the rest. The result is a silent lock when you are riding, and it also comes with a belt clip so that you don't have to attach anything to the bike. This is my second folding lock, I also have the Abus, a well-known brand that I have been using for about 5 years. It is an excellent lock, but the Foldy has improved on that design. The Foldy is considerably heavier, maybe half as much again, and I thought it would drag my belt and pants down but that didn't happen. The Foldy is very quiet, something I am particular about. The Abus comes in a plastic box that you velcro to the frame and it rattles around abominably in there so I threw the case away and began to secure the Abus with a length of velcro to quieten it down. The Clipster has designed that modification in, while also securing the linkages and adding the belt clip. In terms of diameter, both locks are the same, so you won't be hitching up to a thick pole, but any skinny street sign or bike rack will be fine. The price point for both locks is the same. 3 keys provided.
