Review on 📱 TACKFORM Motorcycle Phone Mount: Securely Hold Your Phone with 1" Ball Connection by James Bartels

I rarely write product reviews - mostly due to lack of time. In this case, however, I'm so impressed that I feel the product and the company behind it are worth the few minutes it takes to do a quick review. I purchased this mount for my 2019 Yamaha Waverunner VXR ("Jetski") and used the "Ram Mounts" base and articulating arm in combination with this impressive little phone mount to attach my phone to the PWC. On the water, I use my phone much like I would on a motorcycle—for everything from simple things like listening to music, drawing maps, and using Navioniocs software to navigate, to more important things like viewing my sonar system so I don't run aground. I installed the Ram base on a flat plastic pad that forms a "dash" (if you can call it that) between the steering wheel and dash. I placed the Ram base mounting plate on the left side (to the left of the sensors) so the phone doesn't obstruct the view of the sensor electronics screen, but is still hidden far enough. Behind the left mirror and trunk lid dash, I don't have to worry about wind or water hitting the phone or mount while driving. Although originally designed for motorcycles I can tell you without a doubt if it can withstand the abuse of being on a Jet Ski/SeaDoo/etc. mounted then it can handle just about anything on the road (provided you hold the bike rubber side down). The mount itself is constructed from a type of strong yet lightweight metal that has been CNC machined during production and then anodized for not only a good fit and finish, but exceptional durability as well. I was impressed that the springs that help clamp the phone in place are in the mount itself and there is no visible way to disassemble the mount to remove it. This is important because while I'm not interested in disassembling my new phone mount, if it seemed so cheap that it immediately seemed obvious how to disassemble it, then in my mind it tells me that I might go with a possible product failure at some point. In fact, as far as I can tell, I don't see any screws or other fasteners on the outside of the mount, which again is great as it means that in the saltwater I'm in, rust won't happen and nothing more. points of possible errors. Remember I use it in the water app. Throwing it off a moving motorcycle might be bad enough, but if the mount doesn't work in my application, it will fall to the bottom of the Chesapeake Bay. And he's taking my $800 Samsung Galaxy. The bottom line here is: the Tackform phone mount is strong, yet elegant and sophisticated. Has exceptional clamping force to hold your phone in place with or without the included rubber cord (for uses like mine). It uses a standard 1" sphere for modular installation in various applications, making it easy to not only adjust the mount but also quickly move it from place to place (like from my waverunner to my quad if needed ). so good it's hard for me to know where, if at all, it will fail.. company using american parts and good old american ingenuity. Yes, it may be a bit more expensive than the other cheap handlebar mounts you can find online, but I promise you get what you pay for here. A $300-$1000 phone just because you found a Chinese phone mount that was $15 cheaper? For me it was no problem. I'm reasonably confident that this mount will outlive the phone it's attached to. And I am absolutely sure that the next time I need a mount for anything, I will turn to American manufacturer Tackform again.
