My use is a bit unconventional so take it with care if using it in a car. I needed something to hold my tablet for my guitar amp as it has an advanced graphic display and cloud access. It works great and the mount is just the right size and amount of adjustability for this application. Of course, the amp just sits on the floor and is unaffected by any forces (other than gravity). I should also note that this would not have worked without the suction cup attached to the amp as the amp has a rough surface.
