This is our first time using this vacuum bag and we are not including any instructions. You need to put the hanger sideways up to install the hangers properly. I found I could seal it, but after turning on the vacuum I was able to break the seal even better. This worked great for three out of four bags. A bag is empty, even after three attempts. In ten minutes you can immediately determine whether the seal is closed. So the fourth is a rather expensive bag for clothes. The other three didn't save me any space for some reason. Since it is a hanger above your hangers, it adds a few inches to the length. Also, my coats didn't flatten out and were bulky. I have maybe an extra inch in my closet. I've found that donating ten items I don't wear has given me more space in my regular closet than reducing two bags of stuff.
