Used a hand grinder to sharpen the edge. Works much better. If the shaft were longer, it would be easier to use while standing. The gloves were really helpful. A real lifesaver compared to other bulb planting methods. The trick is to use a coffee can with the ends cut off and then drill through the coffee can. This holds back the dirt and makes it easier to feed it back into the hole.
