I've wanted a good binocular microscope for a long time. I ended up buying it as a birthday present. I was very happy with the quality of the picture and the accessories I bought for it. Use a lot at work and it lives up to my expectations. Very satisfied. I would say that you may not need dual rail. We don't have them at work, most likely we don't need them. For a few bucks more and only planning on buying one for years to come, I'm very happy with my choice though. Excellent image, wide zoom range, excellent stereo image, very stable, glides smoothly, packs very well, easy to set up. you have the idea I'm happy with my purchase and really liked the ability to use a microscope. I wish I had gotten it years ago.
