So I have waist long thick hair. I was able to quickly curl a shorter section of my hair with this automatic curling iron and the curl turned out perfect. A beautiful spiral curl that brushed out into a lovely wave. I tried it on a longer section and it didn’t work. If the hair is too long, it doesn’t wrap nicely around the iron. The bottom 4 inches of my hair was still stick straight. I even tried to run the spinning mechanism longer to hopefully pull that last bit of hair in but I kept getting the same result. Also, the longer sections would get stuck. I had my hair in the device, the timer would go off and my hair would get released, I’d go to pull my hair out and it would be stuck, I’d then panic and rip my hair from the device because I was afraid of it getting burnt off. I can’t be using a device that gives me a small heart attack every time I use it. No matter how small of section I tried, if the hair was too long, it would get caught in the device and I’d have to quickly force it out. I think if you have shoulder length hair, this automatic curling iron would work perfect for you. It just can’t handle wrapping extra long hair, there’s not enough room on the iron for that much hair. Wish it worked for me, hopefully they make a longer version someday for people with longer hair.
