I'm moderately happy with this robe because it's the heaviest hooded robe I've found. However, buyers should evaluate. I'm 5'7" and 150 lbs and I ordered a medium size to wear after washing but they are a bit small for me. I will order a larger size next time if I can't find a heavier robe elsewhere. The robe's description said it weighed five pounds. After the first wash it weighed four pounds on my bathroom scale. It's a little heavier than the clothes you buy in department stores these days, but just a little heavier. Furthermore, there was no indication in the advertisement that the robe would shrink significantly. Before washing, the robe came down to my ankles. After washing in cold water and drying in a constant press, she was at least six to seven inches taller than my ankles. All in all the robe is the best I've found in 30 years so I'm happy with it.
