I think I got what I paid for!
First tried on Red Delicious Apple. Either it's not very sharp or the angle of the blade isn't ideal for peeling apples. From the side it was not possible to completely clean the apple, better vertically, still a fairly rough cut. then I try cucumbers and potatoes and update. Update: Apples still have issues, especially bumps. Goes well with potatoes and cucumbers. Potato eye removers come in handy >
