This is a good product but not so good on gravel. I take my 9 month old for a walk every morning who is just over 16# and finds it difficult to carry a sling or carrier. Was hoping this would work for us as this is a "sport" trike and we live on a gravel and gravel road. It was very hard to push on gravel and my 9 month old looked like she was sitting on a washing machine being shaken around. It wasn't long before she decided she didn't like the ride and preferred to be carried. Once we got on the normal road the hang glider ran better but still not as smoothly as I had hoped. It has a secure harness and seat belts so even though she was thrown she never slipped off the trike.
