Color is off on the matte gray, has a bit greenish in tint/pearlescent, kind of cool but not the matte grey i was expecting.

Gloss grey looks exactly as pictured.I think there is a bit of extra material around the front snap, making for an imprecise fit and with the thin plastic, the extra tension causes it to split in the front.Tip to avoid cracking or splitting the front piece: Trim/sand off the small bit extra flash/plastic moulding from around the plastic snap (don't file it down completely, obviously). Then slide the front snap in place and apply a small amount of pressure to the front area, holding it in place while snapping in the rest of the key cover.
