I drive a 2019 Subaru Legacy with vision aids so I have 2 stereo cameras it doesn't protect no big deal but the power vision mirror doesn't come through the roof due to the extended wires. So it has to be placed behind a viewing mirror, which sucks because I wanted to protect the body from UV fading. Also, it holds up well when your visors aren't loose or fragile, and blocks infrared when you're facing the sun. If I had to do it again I would go with the wire frame heat shields because they fit my windshield better. The advantage, however, is that this heat shield can serve as a substitute rain cover in bad weather. Due to its flat shape, it's not really a replacement for an umbrella, but it protects against rain.
