No experience with hydroponics. I had watched a few videos on how hydroponics work, so when I opened the box and removed the parts it was obvious what each piece was for. It took less than five minutes to set up. I put the tub on a heated grow mat, filled the reservoir with plain water, set a few seeds in the rock wool in each cup, and covered the top with a folded garbage bag. I had seeds opening up the very next morning. I started some pole beans that already have true leafs in less than a week. I've moved those to soil under a grow light, and since then their progression has slowed. I'm going to try lettuce next. My only suggestion would be to provide some information on the type of plant nutrients that should be mixed into the water. I bought some that is made for the MiracleGrow Aquaponic system, but I have not tried adding it to the water yet.
