I have been using a Canon Pixma printer for over 10 years. Bought a new model when the old one wore out. Setup was a nightmare - instead of 5 minutes it took HOURS of phone calls and trial and error before I was able to successfully connect it to our laptops. I don't like the paper tray at the bottom. The old man ate from behind. If the paper tray is bumped or moved in any way, the paper will not feed until you play with it for a while. Of course, this is not an improvement over the old model. Once you can plug it in and feed paper, it works just fine.
