Edit: I got them back in the end. Turns out it has some pretty sharp edges. 3 stars because it works but is awkward to close. This is the same buckle used on Shoei helmets. Some people comment on how dangerous it is when the latch comes off. If it's installed correctly, the latch doesn't matter. You do NOT just wrap it around both D-rings. Find a video on YouTube. There is a QR code on the video packaging. However, the latch may pop out of the tab when inserted, but it will never come out as is. I'll do a few stitches to prevent this so it doesn't matter, but I wouldn't call it a necessary step. The click is the only reason it's not "perfect" and it's the only way to get 5 stars from me, but I would recommend it to anyone any day.
