Bad Soft Waffles: Waffle Maker

I bought this to replace my old Krups 2 slicer that broke. He looked just like Krups and I hoped he would look the same. It's not like this. The waffles were about 3/8 inch thick, not Belgian waffles at all. I used my standard recipe. The waffles came out soft, not crispy at all and brown on the outside no matter how much I cooked them. The edges were yellow and soft while the center was light brown and slightly crunchy. Despite the claimed power of 800 watts, it was 750 watts, which is probably not enough for an evenly crispy waffle. The price of $22 was really cheap and just goes to show that you get what you pay for. Too bad they made 2 more slices of Krups.

Pros
  • Safe Touch & Non-slip
Cons
  • Big and Chunky
