Pros1) It has a button that allows you to stop the vacuum but continue the sealing, so it can be used for delicate foods like dry pasta. Deadlines are IMPORTANT! Don't wait too long or your stuff will get bruised/broken 2) It's NOT stainless steel (fingerprint nightmare for a cooking utensil, IMHO) 3) Once you've locked it in place, there's no need to hold it in place and wait for the final seal 4 ) Removable drip tray makes it easy to catch liquids being sucked out of the bag and into the car 5) No louder than the Seal-a-Meal it replaced 6) There's a place underneath to wrap the cord, which is nice , if left on the countertop. I'm in an RV all the time, so it's a plus that there's no cable in my way, even when tucked away. Cons 1) Seems cheap/unreliable compared to my old Seal-a-Meal that died. The time will show! I will update this review if it doesn't last. 2) The price is slightly higher than comparable devices with similar features. Update: still valid! Sometimes it works and won't blow air, but it always resets if I unplug it for a minute and try again. This is rarely a problem. I would buy this seal again.
