Review on ๐Ÿ’ง Enhanced Sprite ARC Shower Filter Cartridge: Maximizing Filtering Efficiency for Optimal Water Quality by Victoria Smith

and my water itself seems so bad that the filters can't last as long as they can.

I'm not sure I can give a completely honest/helpful review as I only have this filter (which originally came with my shower head) and the Slim Line filters (that's all I got found) used local stores) and my water itself seems so bad that the filters can't work as long as they should. However, I can definitely say that this is an improvement and really worth the purchase over the flimsy cartridges. I felt that after about 2 weeks they didn't do anything for a shower shared by 3 people (not daily). Elsewhere I found a reviewer who mentioned that it is possible to shake off the filter material and hear it move, and that you should do so to prolong the life of the filter. So I was puzzled when I realized that you can listen to material and shake that filter in - you can't do that with Slims, they're so densely packed! I'm also seeing more black debris build up in these filters leading me to believe they're capturing more than the Slims, which didn't change the look much. Does it help my hair/ my skin/ my breath? Maybe a little, not as much as we would like, but it's still not the same as taking a shower somewhere with good natural water. I have horrible old pipes and also very hard water and possibly other issues. I still need to get rid of hard water on my hair (I use super mild shampoos but I'm not sure brute force will help and I don't want to!) and on the bathtub, shower curtain etc. The filter removes the chlorine smell and I had no asthma problems while using it. My skin has gotten a little better. If anyone has any tips on how to extend the life of your water filter or how to get rid of hard water in your hair, I'd love to hear them!
