Review on Bialetti Kitty Stainless Steel Espresso Coffee Maker, 6 Cup Capacity by Erik Snyder

I bought a 6 cup Bialetti in January 2015 and we use it every day and it's now May 2017 and we still love it! Today came the replacement of gaskets, replaced the rubber gasket between the base and the jug. The first time had to be replaced. Not bad for everyday use! What we like is the machine's simplicity and low waste. I usually read a lot before buying and it doesn't matter. To solve some issues, we had no grip issues; However, I make sure that it is not directly above the heat source. We have used this with serpentine cooktop, glass plate cooktop, induction cooktop and gas. She worked great with everyone. Since we grind our own coffee I've tried different grinds and as someone said in the question and answer, the fine grind goes in the pot and then in the cup, but I'm fine with that. just use a finer grind if you don't like it at some point i'm really addicted to coffee and just so you know what this little thing competes with is a cappresso machine that grinds automatically and brews under pressure, french press, piston press and conventional drip machine. We work hard and play hard with our five kids so we love strong coffee and in a six cup coffee pot you can make about two cups of Americano, if it's too strong (for guests) we add some water to the cup. Great little machine that doesn't have paper filters that can only be bought for single use and compost. I highly recommend this kettle if you are looking for a durable little coffee pot. We've taken it at home, camping, in the RV and pretty much everywhere we go :-). We hand washed it and still put it in the dishwasher with good results. What usually happens is that we cook it the night before and put it on the stove, as soon as we get up we turn on the stove and start our regular work. Routine, waiting for it to finish and we pour our cups and rinse the coffee pot twice then we pour in some water so it stays all day until I make it the next day that night. Like I said, it was a great purchase from us! ;-)
