I love my Bloch dance shoes. I do wolf spins like a gymnast. The only drawback is the sizing. I ignored the age old advice that when buying dance shoes or figure skates, you should order one size smaller than your street shoe size. Now I have to swap the shoes for 7 to make them fit. Dance shoes should fit snugly on the foot but allow flexibility. Plus size shoes don't show my pointe shoes and that's important. Shrink washing will not solve the problem. This advice is as bad as stretching leather shoes if they don't fit. The pre-sewn elastic band fits me comfortably. I've read that others wish these shoes didn't have pre-sewn ribs. I have sensitive feet and I understand that an unsuitable elastic can be a problem. I tried the shoes on without tights first to get a feel for how they felt. Thumbs up. If you are a black or brown girl, these shoes will complement your dark skin tone, boost your confidence and make you feel so beautiful. It's time.
