Everyone should own a thermometer. The first thermometer I bought for my home was cheap but straightforward: wait 20-60 minutes after eating, drinking, or smoking; then take the temp. I was skeptical about this thermometer. I wasn't sure what more it could offer me. But the cool thing about it is you can take a temp with it about three minutes after eating, drinking, or smoking, and it actually is accurate. I tend to run about 97.3 F and tested it a few times after drinking cold water, and it was dead on. I also really like that the tip is more flexible than my other thermometer, making for a more comfortable reading. The only downside to this thermometer—and I'm pretty sure it's just me, as I have joint pain and stiffness from connective tissue disease—is the button is a bit hard to press. But other than that, I really like this thermometer and I'm glad I took a chance on it.
