Steamed broccoli and let stand 12 minutes instead of the recommended 10 minutes. When I took it off the stove, I noticed a faint smell of burning. I took it out of the pan and it all fell apart because the water was gone and the plastic was melting. Maybe the broccoli soaked up all the water? Not sure how it happened. Yes, I had a lid on the pot and over an inch of boiling water. Next time I'll use a metal basket for cooking! Creepy and dangerous!
