Surprisingly warm for a thin sock!
I have diabetes so my toes are always cold, especially in winter. Most wool socks are too thick to wear with my orthopedic shoes and I doubt they'll do any good because they're pretty thin. As soon as I put on the first pair, I felt the warmth of wool. They're not made for temperatures below forty, but for an average South Carolina winter day, they're fine and I can wear them with any shoe. I wash them in cold water and hang them to dry in the sun or near air vents and so far they are holding up well.
