I can't fault this toilet seat/lid for not fitting in our toilet. I measured the toilet before ordering and assumed our toilet was elongated because it is longer front to back than side. And the dimensions were exactly as the description and the diagram. However, it doesn't fit like it should. Admittedly I don't know much about the variety of toilets and what the terms mean. My guess is that our toilet isn't exactly "elongated," perhaps as toilet manufacturers define it. The seat and lid fit over the bowl but protrude forward and everything protrudes about two inches. The inner bowl is also visible from the front when the lid is open. Although I've measured the distances in the descriptions, it still doesn't really fit our particular bowl. It's enough for now, but it's definitely noticeable and more than uncomfortable. I wish they would explain that the various definitions of "elongated" are a little clearer. Fit aside, this would make a great toilet seat. It has many nice features compared to other seats. It's a strong, very durable plastic, NOT an enamelled composite that will wear and warp over time like cheaper seats. I like the "slow closing mechanism". It was very easy to install. I like that the seat mounting bolts have automatic torque sensing - some of the plastic mounting bolts will loosen when you reach the desired torque. It's fine for a setup, but once the top plastic is unscrewed there's no automatic torque if you need to remove and replace the seat, which is a downside. Especially if it weren't for the wrong landing. , that would be a great buy. In the meantime, I'll be content with (no pun intended) this seat until I find a suitable replacement.
