very nice set. Ceramic stones are very hard and almost polish the edge of the blade. This is the final step in sharpening, sort of the first polishing step after the rougher stones have leveled the edge. I usually use a sliding stone (tear stone) and make the final marks around the edges. Then I move on to ruby stones mirror polishing the edge and finally I put on the end of the slings. These stones are also excellent for gunsmithing and for working and finishing other metals. Again, sharpening tools for HSS lathes and flypaper works admirably.
