I wanted to find a notebook that could be washed, not just wiped clean. I don't like deep pockets or hobo styles that a hand can't easily fit into. The material of this purse is excellent for washing. The main zipper is difficult to close with two hands because it is very deep. I had to sew a stopper into the zipper to keep it from jamming like pants zippers do. The zippers are heavy metal and securely fastened. When worn over the shoulder, the strap is thicker than regular wallets and may pucker during use. I like two tones, one color on the outside and one on the inside because it's not so easy to spot things on the inside. If you're used to driving and unzipping your wallet, you won't be able to with this one. The zippers are good and reliable which increases my confidence in this product. Overall I would say 4.5 stars out of 5. If the strap didn't twist or twist, this would be perfect for me. Would like to see lighter colors like mustard yellow, grass green, etc.
