I bought two of these for the Goog Home Mini. Both connect quickly and (warning) both watch handle mounts can easily destroy the watch handle if you go there. With both, the sound quality went straight down the toilet. and it's reasonable! Anyone familiar with the Goog Home Mini knows that the entire front panel is NOT a speaker, the entire front panel consists of the circuit board, touchpad and LEDs. Come on engineers, haven't you even looked where GM's sound is coming from? Go to YouTube and watch the disassembly videos. The sound comes from a static radiator with an inverted cone. SIDE OF GM'S FACE. This watch case covers almost all of GM's audio peripheral port, and as many reviewers before me have noted. muffles the sound to an unacceptable level and I totally agree. My daughter, on the other hand, doesn't mind the muffled sound, she actually finds it more pleasant, but admittedly she doesn't use it for anything other than turning on the light and doing her homework. .So. mine had to be adjusted a bit. I had to poke about twenty holes in the lid to get the sound out and with that came a little echo, which was loosened with a cotton pad that ladies use for skin care. Holes to show on the front, so I only drilled the back cover towards its outer edge. which is directly in the path of the inverted cone heatsink. All of this has to be done slowly and carefully as the screws are tiny, the threads they make in the ledges are very thin and can easily come loose if you go crazy. all sorts of do's and don'ts in dealing with small things. For example, firmly press the parts together while gently tightening the screw, and don't force weak threads to pull the parts together. etc. The end result is mixed. yes, I have my volume back and the sound is crisp and clear like without the clock assembly. but he seems to shoot back a little. I could make my holes (ports) a bit bigger, which should solve some problems. In general. as an audiophile, i cannot understand all these positive reviews, the product has a serious design flaw that blocks almost all GM sound. I'm only giving it 3 stars because I like the look. otherwise it is a failure.
