Review on Cyalume SnapLight Red Light Sticks – 6 Inch Industrial Grade by Robby Fingaw

I have ordered this item at least 4 times in the last year. I keep getting boxes that were produced almost two years ago. For example, the box I received last month expires in May 2017, so while they're still good, they're still good. They have been standing still since May 2012! I have received this date three times in the last few months. This doesn't seem to happen with other colors. I don't know why they have so many old Snaplights lying around, but when I'm paying that much for a product with a 5 year shelf life, I expect them to last at least 4 good years or so. However, they work well. They're not the brightest colors, but they're not the least bright either. They give off really bright light for about half an hour and then a few hours of ambient light. They are still glowing very faintly hours after the 8 o'clock mark. If there was a way to guarantee the expiration date prior to purchase I would probably up my rating to four stars, but until then I just can't do it. It's very important to me.
