Review on Seenda Reading Adjustable Brightness Temperature by Janet Hernandez

So I had a problem with this company and their product. I'm not sure if they're getting a lot of returns or what. Because I bought it NEW and the box it came in already had the seal cut off. The elements were a little worn but fairly new, the wire looked like it had been repackaged. It didn't pair with the wireless controller out of the box and the manual says it should be out of the box. It took me several tries to pair it according to the manual, if it changes the color temperature when you turn the brightness control, you have to try to pair them again based on my experience. As I paid for a NEW item (oddly there is no used item for sale) I have requested a replacement from Revain. They are great, sent me a replacement earlier than 2 days later. The replacement arrived and I noticed the original seal was also broken but had a new smaller round sticker on it. The items inside were much less worn, but packaged the same as the first. So I decided to just leave the replacement. This time the light is paired with the controller out of the box. PROS: The lightbar is installed on my 32" LG Ultragear monitor and connects nicely to the mount with a strong magnet. A holster is a handy cylinder that sits on the back of your monitor. and a soft spring inside that pushes a small lip against the front of your monitor (much like a Pacman with some upper teeth). Sits there well without squeezing the monitor in my opinion. The light is bright! The monitor may be mirrored too much. I think it also depends on your monitor. It can be easily lowered towards the monitor or tilted towards you. The wireless controller is amazing! I only found one that offers this. small. Charges via USB-C input and says it will glow red when charging is required. It gently brightens and dims the light bar by turning the knob back and forth. IT'S CHANGING THE BALLGAME FOR ME. I don't have to reach where I can't see over the bar to make adjustments. Hands stretch out next to my mouse on the table! It has a peel off ring slide underneath if you want a little hook on the table. One click cycles through one of three color temperatures (three of what I've tried). Or you can hold and twist the knob to fine-tune the color temperature (3000K to 6000K according to the manual). A simple twist of the knob changes the brightness. The light bar has a memory of my previous use. So after turning off and on again, it will resume your last brightness and temperature settings. Not if you turn off the USB power to the light. CONS: Aside from that, they may repackage the returns and ship them as NEW (just my guess). - The included USB-A to USB-C cable is quite short. wire 5 feet. (Only the included cable is recommended) A power supply or AC adapter (5V, 2A) is required and REQUIRED. The USB outputs of the CPU will not power these lightbars as their outputs only supply a quarter or half the current required. I found out about this after my processor stopped turning on due to ESD protection on the USB port. Luckily, my surge protector has two handy 2.4A USB sockets. A quick color temperature cycle automatically switches it to maximum brightness, making it distracting in the dark. You need to turn the brightness down when using this method (one click) to change the temperature. - I hate that you have to hold it down for 2 seconds or more to turn it on or off. I think one click would be better for toggle on and off. (Basically you have to switch it with the color temperature control) - Higher brightness makes the panel quite warm. It also heats up the USB port quite a bit. So I found that I usually turn the brightness down to keep the temperature down. But no problems so far - connecting the light strip turns the light on automatically. It turns on after a power outage or when you turn on the USB. When you think about it, it's pretty annoying. Thoughts: So I wish there was an automatic shutdown or timeout feature that could be activated sometimes, e.g. B. when it turns on automatically after a power failure. In my case when I forget to turn off that crap and leave. I think a smart plug will fix this, but it will forget your last settings and not be sure if this will affect pairing with the controller. I also don't like the not-so-subtle name branding on the panel and knob. But that's not a big problem at all. They should be proud of what they have achieved! I was looking for answers about whether you can control two lights with one controller and someone said that you can actually connect both panels to one controller. I haven't tried this, but in my opinion a light source is bright enough for the workspace on your desk. Overall a great light bar compared to some built in light bars I've seen. A few minor tweaks that I'd love but the wireless controller is the best ever. Wireless is worth the extra money you pay, and it's still cheaper than some big brands that don't even have this feature.
