Initially with the H1 bulb without conversion, very spotty with off-centre hotspot. I decided to fix the situation and ended up with an awesome Lexus cutoff and OEM edition. The first step was to sand the surface where the lamp makes contact with the body. It was rough and uneven. Through trial and error, moving the bulb up, down, and side to side, you can see where to grind to get that nice, centered spot. Second, I personally didn't like this DOT-style cutoff, so I sanded it down. even. My truck is high enough that the DOT shutdown has no effect other than looking stupid. Third, I had to touch up the screen protector a bit to get a great intense purple/blue cutoff. Bend it slightly forward or backward to crisp it up as well. And then disassemble and clean. In the end, a cheap projector with little setup made me forget I've ever spent over $250 on a big brand projector.
