Just what I needed for the Wisconsin winter. I don't always have to wear boots, but I do need warm, waterproof shoes when I walk my dog or go shopping. You are perfect. It was cold rain today and I tried them. Worked great! No wet feet. The Vibram outsole also seems to work well in packed snow - it's said to be specifically designed for snow and ice. They look a bit bulky, but when it's cold you want your feet to be warm and dry. They're also easier to put on and take off than my boots. January update: I love these shoes. I walk my dog 4 times a day. The roads we walk on are covered with snow. These are the best. Keeps my feet warm and dry and they hold up really well. They are much easier to put on and take off than my boots. So far the boots have only been worn once when we had a 6 inch snowfall and we were first that morning. I wish I had discovered these years earlier.
