I'm using it on a carbon monopod with an SLR camera in live view mode. On a monopod, this is much easier to use and much lighter than a gimbal or camera stabilizer. The ability to tilt your head on a monopod solves a lot of problems. After some practice, hold the monopod/camera off the ground and use the head tilt function to balance the camera and lens horizontally. Now you have the equivalent of a camera stabilizer, but much more versatile. You can easily make running or tracking shots, even birds.
