Despite the fact that the kit includes a set of dowels, I inserted my own dowels into the top 2 holes for mounting on the wall, more authentic, just in case. Quietly holds my not quite new and heavy 30-inch TV. And I turn it 90 degrees when I feel like it, and move it away from the wall for the entire length.
