In the end I returned this product because the files I had to use were not compatible with the software and the pedal was not compatible with any other software so all was useless. The software only supports a few types of audio files and does not support videos. I was working on focus group transcription of at least 6 people so I had to use the video as a reference. Olympus doesn't even sell video software. Olympus uses proprietary coding to communicate between the pedal and the computer, making it impossible to set up the pedal to work with any other software, and no patches are available. When I called support to see if there was a way to convert files to a supported format, they told me the format I have (asf) doesn't exist, which of course is ridiculous. I ended up with an Infinity pedal and the free ExpressScribe software, which supports video and many different file types. I ended up spending less than a third of what I spent on this kit. The pedal was of good quality and the headset was cheap.
