Liked digital tuning and easy tuning to five AM and five FM stations. Appears to be well built with passable sound. Four AA batteries last anywhere from a couple of days to a week depending on usage, but the AC adapter costs an additional $12.xx. Setting the alarm, either by buzzer or transmitter, was a headache, adjusting the alarm volume was an even bigger headache, and turning the alarm off was impossible - I've never figured out how to do it. If you just want a battery powered radio, that's fine. If you want some part of the alarm system to ignore it, and be ready to buy a power pack if you need air conditioning. I think it's based on the construction and a battery powered radio - I need a battery powered radio during a storm in Miami. I thought about resetting it a couple of times because the alarm and air conditioning don't work. kept because digital radio tunes to a local station (WDNA Jazz 88.9 FM) that is usually lost due to crowded, dirty bandwidth.
