My original belt snapped and I was looking for a replacement. I received the steel grid as well as other silicone. The steel mesh is too smooth as it easily twists around my wrist and keeps the water after showering longer than I would like. It worked great for a few months but I found it tends to catch on the edges of clothing and eventually fall apart. I was hesitant to buy silicone and looked for resin but the resin just isn't available. The previous silicone was shiny and sticky to the point that wearing a long sleeve shirt always caused it to get a bit tacky and I didn't like the feel or texture. It arrived a few days ago and has a matte look and feel. Wasn't too flexible or soft. So far I like it and the only issue I see is that the latch at the end of the strap is too sticky to remove quickly, but as long as it doesn't get sticky like other silicones it's not a problem.
