My husband and I love fresh pineapples, but cutting and coring it was a lot of work and I always felt like I was losing so much fruit, not to mention I was scared to cut myself from - for the necessary gymnastics with a knife. This corer and slicer changed everything. It peels, cores and slices with one simple movement, creating perfect spiral slices. We love it so much that when fresh pineapples came up for sale at our local grocery store, we bought pineapples and cores for friends and family. Interestingly, however, one order cost almost $20, which seemed excessive to me, and another order cost just over $10, which seems much more reasonable. But even at almost $20 they made a wonderful gift and our married kids love them too.
