This backpack was comfortable to carry my 8 lb cat while shopping (exercised her to get used to the party). Got compliments and the cat liked the design more than other tote bags, much calmer. The safety latch is specially designed for dogs to attach to their collars in case the bladder or strainer falls out. I had to make a mini leash, ok. 6 inches long with clips on either end to attach to straps and allow her to lie down. When using the bubble you have to be careful not to hit any objects. The backpack heats up inside when it's hot outside, even with screens. The only issue I have is that after the first walk the handle was already torn, although I was under the 11lb weight limit I had to sew it back on, hopefully it will stay in place.
