I received this charger/transmitter as a gift and I love it! I really feel like I "can't live without it!" The signal strength is great, it charges the iPod while it's transmitting, and costs only a little more than a transmitter that doesn't charge! I wore it out after only a year of use. I would have bought a new one in a heartbeat but I couldn't find this model in any of the local stores so I tried a few others and they just couldn't compare. I threw away the rest and bought this one again. My husband just bought an iPod and I am giving him one of these transmitters as a gift. We are very happy with that! Pros: Charges AND streams - my iPod battery NEVER runs out! Easy switching from car to car - great if you have a rental car, good signal strength - overdue and man got a clear signal 3-5 car lengths above Cost - not much more expensive than a transmitter without a charger. Requires no batteries, instead plugs into a cigarette lighter adapter. Turns off when you turn off the car. : I wore my first one about a year later. iPod turns off when the engine is off, so every time you restart your car you have to restart your iPod, which isn't a big deal unless you're sitting and waiting for someone and then turning them on Engine on and off while you wait - even then it's a little inconvenient. Not easy to switch frequency while driving. Only 8 frequencies to choose from (although this has never been a problem for me, it might be for you). The signal is better than any I've tried. Even after the transmitter wore out, the charger still worked.
