This mouse retails for $220. That's $70 more than the Logitech G Pro and Razer Viper Ultimate. This mouse is the most expensive device I have ever used. To do some comparisons, I also have an xtrfy m4 (my current primary mouse), a Logitech g Pro, a Razer Viper, a final mouse Ultralight 2, and a few other mice. more designed to just look cool I guess? It was agony unpacking everything and I won't be repacking to return the mouse. The first thing you notice when you take the mouse out of the box is how heavy it is. We are in a phase where any mouse over 80 grams is considered heavy. This mouse weighs around 120 grams. It's too heavy, especially considering the price and what materials could be swapped out to make it lighter. The weight is unacceptable for the price and compared to what people are looking for in mice these days. Second, the cable is the worst I've ever seen in a mouse. It's too stiff and would be a big problem if I didn't have a bungee. Replace the Madcatz cable, it's really horrible. My next complaint relates to mouse feet. They don't slide well at all. All of them. They get stuck on my Gigabyte Amp 500 (very expensive mouse pad). This makes slow movements when jumping the mouse impossible because the legs cannot glide smoothly at low speeds. Yes, I'm not done yet. The next problem is clicks. In and of themselves, there's nothing wrong with them, but they just seem average. They don't have anything fancy and don't feel very quick or comfortable to squeeze. On a $220 mouse, they couldn't even make the simple clicks satisfying. The scroll wheel feels nice, but the tension adjustment just feels like it can be very loose or very stiff, there's not much in between. The scroll click also feels very awkward as the mouse body flexes a lot when clicked. I won't go into detail about the setup. It's ok, you can shape the mouse to your liking and give it a COMFORTABLE grip. The shape is very aggressive and will not suit most people I think. It's also difficult to pick up the mouse as it becomes slippery as your hands heat up and the weight makes it difficult to keep a grip and control movements well. It makes it difficult to shoot in FPS and action games. The software is as follows and can be used. It's not bad, but it's very basic and there's nothing special about it. At least the mouse has built-in memory so it doesn't have to run in the background. The only positive points I have are the assembly and the sensor. one sensor on the market, but that doesn't matter since the weight of the mouse and legs will make it difficult for you to aim accurately anyway. The build quality feels pretty good. Despite all the moving parts, the mouse feels solid in your hand. Conclusion: Do not buy this mouse under any circumstances. It's not a very good mouse, even if it was $50 let alone $220. Better buy an xtrfy m4 or a viper or even overpay for an ultra light 2 on ebay than buy this thing. Any other mouse is fundamentally better than this at a much lower price. Madcatz, you need to redesign your entire line to use much lighter materials with better clicks, better glide and a MUCH better cable. This mouse belongs in 2010, not 2020.
