Review on ATHLIO AO BLS01 WHT_Large Compression Baselayer Athletic by Jason Lockwood

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Dyes don't bleed well from black and dark blue; otherwise good price

The main problem is that the black and navy blue shirts stained the inner fabric of the light yellow Pearl Izumi jersey and the white straps. Be sure to wash them thoroughly several times and test the rinse water to ensure the excess dye is removed. It's my fault for not doing it, but this is the first bike set I've bought from a manufacturer that spilled dark dye on other clothing so badly. Or stop at white. Otherwise, as a base layer for my winter cycling gear, it's worth its price. However, I don't have proper compression. I'm 5'11" and 150 pounds so I'm pretty slim for my height. The medium size fits and doesn't tangle under my long sleeve Pearl Izumi jerseys but without too much compression. But it fits better than average. Champion long sleeve t-shirts that I have worn for several winters. I sweat a lot under windproof jerseys and jackets, but these base layers absorb the sweat well and I don't feel cold even when it's wet. They air dry quickly, even on my body when I stop for a snack. Not as good as Pearl Izumi Transfer Baselayers with Minerale fabric. These are the only true 5-star baselayers I've found, even better than merino wool. But I would give these cheap base coats 4 stars if it weren't for the dyes.
