I am very happy with this purchase. The strap is long, yes, but I don't even wear it on my hips and it fits well. There is an adjustable strap that can be pulled down to keep excess in place. It smells a bit like leather and paint but I'm sure it will hold up just fine. The clasp is made of metal, it has a nice shine. It's a bronze color that would go perfectly with my Steampunk McCree that I collect. I am very happy with this product and the shipping was very fast.
