My master key broke off the keychain about a year ago. It was too expensive for the dealer to make me a new key and it would probably take a lot longer than the short 2 days I was waiting for and I saved about $200. It was easy to program the key fob myself, but then I had to cut the key and program the chip. It took some time to find someone to carve the key as the cut is engraved. I finally found a locksmith who made me an offer and now I have a whole key! At first I thought I could just use my original key and program the fob, but you can't take an uncut key out of the case.
