Don't buy if you don't want to carpenter. Ikea made a mistake
I ended up making this ladder but not without a lot of work. As you can see in the picture, the ladder has been dimensioned in such a way that the ladder cannot be fully opened and therefore cannot be used. I happen to have a woodworking shop with a table saw, which I used to cut about 3/16" (at a certain angle) from the top horizontal pieces so the legs could be joined. If you don't have precise woodworking tools, you can use this ladder skip My time spent fixing Ikea's shoddy production was worth more than the stairs.
