Bought this hat, removed the speakers and put it in a ski helmet. My ski helmet is audio compatible and I've been looking for a pair of audio chips for a long time but couldn't justify spending $130 for a set. I stumbled across this one and since it was cheap I just bought it with the intention that if it didn't fit a helmet I would just use it with a hat. Good, it worked! Also almost perfect! The cord is long enough to tuck into the neck area of the helmet under the balaclava and has enough slack to prevent it from stretching during use. The speakers are square, which is why I mentioned almost perfect, not perfect. The speakers don't move after I put them in the helmet and I just have to manually press them to line them up perfectly for the best possible sound and they stay in the same position while riding. In terms of audio, they're loud enough that you won't hear them if you're speaking at maximum volume. Personally, I like to listen to music somewhere in the middle, and so far it's sounded great. I turn up the volume on my Android phone and leave the speakers at max. I can't comment on the battery life as I used it for about 4 hours and the set worked well. Pairing the speakers with an Android phone is very easy. A cheap solution for those who want to be a little innovative and don't want to complain about quality.
