This is a great light for small aquariums. It has a default setting as well as a DIY setting. Although there are a few downsides. The built-in remote control has a choice of standard or DIY settings, the markings for both are very small and difficult to read. Also, this is primarily for rimless tanks, so I had to make a slight modification to get it working in my tank. The instruction manual was a bit difficult to understand, but after reading it several times I was able to use it to get the light to the setting I wanted.
