Gear metal tipper replaces the plastic tipper originally used by the blind manufacturer. With the new interchangeable tipper, the blinds can be tilted more gently and with much less effort. The work is relatively easy for people with manual skills. You'll need to remove the blinds and raise them back up when you're done. This process can be difficult if you have wide or tall windows. A second person may be required to help with the project. To replace the tipper, remove the metal end bracket at the end of the aluminum pan next to the tipping mechanism, remove the old tipper, install the new tipper in place, making sure the top ends are under the edge of the aluminum pan, and replace then the end bracket. Make sure the metal shell returns to its original shape before hanging the blinds again.
