
I use Pyrex cookware for baking. I really like using clean glass when cooking. I preheated a casserole dish in the oven, then placed the marinated meat on a hot glass to see, as I have done in the past. BUT this time, instead of hissing before it went into the oven, it exploded violently all over the kitchen: glass all over the floor and all over the countertops. I don't care about that kind of quality. It worked fine for regular baking when the temp went up and down gradually, but it doesn't work like my other Pyrex. I doubt it's even really Pyrex.
