Hello, friends. Today I want to tell you about Logitech wireless keyboard + mouse kit. We have been using it for about 3 months. During the use, we also had joyful moments when it worked perfectly. But there was also a time when I wanted to resort to the old grandfather method, thanks to which the old technique always worked properly. :-) Remember how our grandfathers and fathers fisted on TV, which refused to work? So, this is the same method. And now, from the lyrical introduction, let's move on to the facts. I want to share my (and my husband's) impressions of using this wireless kit. I note right away that before we had keyboards and mice only with wires. One of them is from the same manufacturer. They've always worked great, but everything has an expiration date. When it came time to buy a new keyboard and mouse, my husband bought this set. He bought it for several reasons: 1. The price did not bite. The set cost about 900 UAH. (2700 rubles), while a similar kit from a more expensive manufacturer would cost 1.5-2 times more; 2. Wireless keyboard and mouse - this is the absence of extra wires, which are usually already enough; 3. I wanted a set of standard sizes. So that the keyboard is not on the floor of the table or the mouse is not the same size as the real one, the one that squeaks :-); 4. Universal design and colors to match our monitor; 5. As the sales assistant in the store assured, this keyboard does not need a driver. As for design, functionality, quality of materials and other things, everything suited us here. Below, in the course of the text, I will describe these moments. *** KEYBOARD Above the keyboard is the usual black color. Below is grey. The key layout is the most common, so for me it was familiar and comfortable. The keyboard is a standard rectangular shape. But where the letters are, it is slightly rounded from below (you can see it a little in the bottom photo). This slight rounding does not interfere with printing. I learned fast typing on this keyboard - it was quite convenient to train. The keyboard, as I understand it, is not multimedia. But, there are still some additional buttons on it. They can be well distinguished from the rest both visually and by touch - they are gray in color and differ in shape from the rest. Additional buttons from left to right: - Play/Pause. Works only in the standard player. In YouTube, for example, does not work; - turn off the sound completely; - turn down the volume; - add volume; - house - turn on the "start" menu (if my memory serves me); - send a message (we didn't use it, so I don't know how it works and whether this button works at all); - The PC button puts the computer into standby mode. I was hoping that it would turn off the computer completely, as it did on the previous keyboard. But no; - turn on the calculator. As you can see, nothing more. But, at the same time, there are such necessary buttons as a calculator and volume controls. They have helped me so many times. I especially like the button that completely turns off the sound. At night, it is indispensable. The OFF/ON button is located separately in the upper right corner. She turns the keyboard off and on. The quality of the plastic is very good. It is strong enough. When typing, the keyboard does not flex, which sometimes happens with other keyboards in the place where the central letters are. The joints are tightly connected to each other, there are no gaps. Keyboard top and bottom. The bottom of the keyboard has: - a place for batteries; - rubberized inserts that prevent the keyboard from sliding; - special "legs" that make an additional inclination of the keyboard for the convenience of fast typing; - information about the device. It also states that it is made in China. The photo below shows rubberized inserts (white circles). Thanks to them, the keyboard does not slide on the table, although ours is quite smooth. "Legs" in the raised and lowered state (also in the bottom photo). They are located at the top of the keyboard. "Legs" are made of strong plastic. When raised, the keyboard tilts slightly. It is really more convenient to type this way, especially if you own touch typing technique. Unfortunately, I can’t show the difference in the height of the keyboard tilt, because one day I couldn’t keep track and my daughter (1.5 years old) climbed onto the table and decided to sit on it. As a result, one "leg" broke. Next is a place for batteries. Two micro-finger batteries were included in the package. But, to be honest, they did not last us long - less than 1 month. In order not to buy new ones every time, we inserted rechargeable batteries from an old cordless phone that we don’t use into the connector. The charge of these batteries was enough for about 2-3 weeks. This is a very short period, I think. But I attribute it to the fact that these rechargeable batteries are quite old (they are about 5 years old). How long ordinary batteries would be enough is also a question, because those that were included were not the most expensive and it is not known how long they were there. Keyboard and mouse. *** MOUSE Comfortable mouse. Lies well in the hand. The hand does not get tired of it, at least I did not notice. Although there were several times when I had to use it for a long time. Mouse top and bottom. On the mouse, as well as on the keyboard, there is an OFF / ON button - turn it off / on. Turn it off when the computer is not working. I believe that the batteries are gradually discharged even in this case. Mouse sensor. Place for a battery. She came with a set. Only one battery is needed, a finger battery. There are slightly convex places (two round, one long). I don't know why, but they look like anti-slip pads on a keyboard. Although, the mouse glides over the surface of the table very well. *** ADAPTER And here is the Logitech wireless adapter. It was included and did not need to be purchased separately. It is inserted into the standard USB connector of the system unit. We insert at the back so that the children do not pull. !!! At the time of connection, the keyboard and mouse are immediately synchronized with the computer. You can start operation - print and click the mouse. *** DRIVER: According to the seller, drivers for the keyboard and mouse are not needed. We believed him. But in vain ... The driver is still needed. On the first day after purchase, the keyboard was terribly slow. Mouse - no. Already thought to go back and change. Then the husband still installed the driver, after which it began to work perfectly. I note that I installed a free driver, which attracted a bunch of viruses to our computer. So be on the lookout. *** The Logitech keyboard fits our monitor (19 inches) well in size and design. *** BENEFITS of Logitech Wireless Combo MK270: 1. Design, size 2, 3. Quality of materials, 4. Build quality, 5. Ease of use, 6. No wires, 7. Price. *** CONS of Logitech Wireless Combo MK270: 1. Batteries run out very quickly. And when the charge comes to half, the keyboard starts to slow down. When the charge comes to an end, it starts to slow down very much - when turned on, it freezes and does not print at all, and then along the way it also slows down, but a little less. With a new battery, this, of course, does not happen; 2. The sensor is too sensitive (but in general this is an advantage, I think). It’s just that our table is quite smooth and the mouse sensor catches glare from it. Therefore, the mouse also sometimes slows down. On a less smooth surface, this does not happen. It is difficult to describe how annoying these "freezes" and "braking" are. *** CONCLUSION: Good set. I think that if you adapt with the surface for the mouse and put in more long-lasting batteries, then you can work with it with pleasure. But, taking into account the above shortcomings, I still put a mark "4".
