I took this to make cold coffee and I'll probably use it for hot coffee this winter. MY GOD. just great, especially for the price. I use regular Starbucks ground coffee and have never managed to put ground coffee in my pot. The piston pushes EVERYTHING down. I put half a glass of coffee grounds and add water. Sometimes I put it in the fridge, sometimes I let it steep on the counter. I usually brew it for about 24 hours. It works great and I even take it with me when I travel because now, during the pandemic, it's difficult to buy coffee in hotels. I haven't noticed the mold situation that some are talking about as I've only had it for a few weeks. When you're at the front door, what can stand in the way of trying? The price is definitely right! Highly recommended by me. 08/03/2020 - UPDATE - I am no longer satisfied with this. Yes, the price was great, but the circular stitch came off the spindle within a month. I was still able to use it, so I stupidly missed the return window when I couldn't babysit it anymore. Although it was a cheap item, it didn't last long enough to justify the high price. I contacted the manufacturer, we'll see what they say. I will update this information as soon as I receive it. August 27th, 2020 - UPDATE - Bodum support said I had to send it back to Revain but the window has closed and I can't. They didn't help at all and thank god it was cheap. Lesson learned. Take it back, don't try to fix it. I'll stick it again and use it until I get bored. I will not be buying any more Bodum products in the future.
